I'm sending out my first batch of Felt Cookies...they're going to a very special girl named Lily! I had to make her an "L" cookie to match the hearts. Hope she l♥ves them!

I LOVE THIS BOOK! I always go through this little love phase with every book I make, but this one is really something special. It is a baby girl/Princess theme done in pink, turquoise and brown. I got to use lots of girly princess paper, lots of florals, and lots of pink glitter. I made it for a very special little girl who is the daughter of a friend of a friend. She's a preemie, and as I've had two preemies myself her story is very close to my heart. I hope her parents feel like this book is fit for a princess because that's definitely what she is.

I made a bunch of cookies this weekend...felt and the real kind. The felt ones are going in my etsy shop. My sewing isn't the best (okay it sucks) but that's part of the charm of handmade stuff...it isn't perfect, right? I had a lot of fun making these little guys and I am planning on making more. If anything, Riley and his friends are going to have a great pretend bakery!

A Katty Wampus Tale

happy new year!

I've been MIA, I had to go to Michigan last week! Grand Rapids, to be exact. I lived there for 5 crazy years, and I don't know how I did it. I am an Arizona girl through and through, I am solar powered and love the heat. Michigan is cold and grey and dreary almost every day of the year. Don't give me that "But it's so pretty in the summer" jazz because 2 months of sorta nice weather does not make up for 10 months of absolute crappy weather when you've lived in a place with 364 days of sunshine a year.

But I'm back now and ready for 2009! My goals this year are to get this blog really going, get my etsy shop really going, I just wanna GET GOING already! I feel like 2008 was a bummer year but 2009 will be better. So let's get to it! :)

I love Marie Antoinette, so of course I love these glasses from Potter Barn. They even match my Christmas stuff! I would love to see a bunch of them stacked up for a Champagne fountain...so pretty and so very Marie!
