my hubby is better than your hubby

I was complaining about this article in Creating Keepsakes to my hubby. It was about white pens and said "there are so many different white pens out there blah blah blah" but all the design examples used the same pen-the Uniball Signo. I told him if there are so many that are so great how come EVERYONE uses that pen...because it's the ONLY one that really work! So the article should have been called "ways to use your signo". Anyway, I told him it annoyed me that they featured that pen because I've never found it in a store-you can only order them. I've never thought to order one for myself so it's just been one of those tools that I've always wanted to try but haven't gotten around to yet (like Heidi Swapp masks, those are next).

He gets up and goes to the computer and I go about my business. I was scrapping. :) A few minutes later he comes back to the living room, sits on the couch and goes back to reading his flooring book. He says "I got you your pen". He just went off and bought it for me! It was only $2.50 or something like that but he is just so awesome that way...he's always surprising me with little things. And aren't little things the best? ♥

My shop is now open! I have 5 things and I'm finishing another book tonight. I've been trying to promote my little ass off but it does get tedious after awhile, doesn't it? It's not doing any favors for my ass to be sitting here for hours on end either.

Today was a gorgeous day out though. Riley and I took a long walk in the neighborhood and just soaked up the sunshine. I can't believe in a couple weeks he will be ONE YEAR OLD! It's been said a trillion times but the time goes by so fast. I can't wait for his big birthday party! The little Prince is having a blowout, that's for sure.

slowly but surely

I am making my way through my "to do" pile. I really would have liked to have my "Grand Opening" today, but it didn't happen and that's ok. Maybe next week sometime.

I've been crafting my little butt off, let me tell you. I want to have my "grand opening" on Valentine's Day. I'd LIKE to have at least 6 things in my shop when that happens, but who knows if it will. So far I have one completed album, one that is 90% done, one that is 10% done, and one that I have an idea in my head of what I need to do to make it. I also have an altered project that needs to be finished...so yeah I should not even be on the computer, but this is how I wake up. I don't drink coffee, I check the internet.

But now I AM off to get some stuff done-Happy Monday!

hello new!

New shop, new blog. When I first signed up for etsy, I had no plans to be a "shop", so I chose a name that didn't really say anything. Then I came up with the idea "Posh Paper Bags", because I was selling paper bag albums. Then I started making other stuff, like bows & tutus & onesies and whatever else I feel like doing...Posh Paper Bags was too confining. So I just came up with "Crafted by Jenn" because I love the word craft and my name is Jenn, and there are millions of Jenns...so maybe that will give me some luck.

I have one new book to put in my new shop, but I think I'll wait until I have several things ready to go before my "grand opening". That's kind of exciting! :) For now, here's a bunch of Valentines I made for friends. I LOVE ♥ Valentine's Day!!
